Nancy Marshall has written a wonderful book of short stories featuring “ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL” in and around her family cabin in the Arizona Bradshaw Mountains. The stories are told by an outspoken, opinionated, funny Arizona Black Rattlesnake with white and gold stripe patterns across his handsome black back. The book is a wild adventure of creatures’ interactions with her family. And I expect true. The best for me was of a Western Blue Bird training her baby chicks to fly and Ms. Human (Nancy) messes with training, and steps on a hoe which bongs her on the back of head. Marvelous stories, each illustrated by Lauren Sarantopulos, a wildlife artist out of Flagstaff, Arizona. You will not be disappointed with A RATTLER’S TALE.
