A Stem Guide for Life/Earth Science Teachers
This STEM guide is to use with A Rattler’s Tale, When Wild Animals Encounter Humans
This guide is designed to help the classroom teacher apply STEM Cross-Cutting standards to the national award-winning children’s book, A Rattler’s Tale.
The purpose is to provide a fun reading experience that simultaneously allows the teacher to bring the children to awareness of STEM concepts like predictability, changes in the environment, inheritance v. learning, etc. in keeping with basic STEM standards. This set of questions and projects are meant as a guide, not a limit.
A Rattler’s Tale is a series of vignettes, organized by the seasons, with three stories per season, told by the Arizona Black Rattlesnake about his fellow animals and their encounters with humans.
